The Return of the Factoid

It has been a while since I posted an interesting factoid. These factoids are trivial pursuit specials and you will probably never need to know one. Although, perhaps if you were to rattle one off every now and then your friends might be impressed or they might just think you're a book worm!

Anyways, did you know that the first VCR was put together in 1956 and was the size of a piano?

And to think I am posting this little factoid on a pint-sized laptop using a wireless connection from the comfort of my own home. The wonders of technological developments!

Best don't get too cocky, sir. Damn sure our great-grandsons would chuckle at our generation in the next five decades. :)

Hey MJ...

First, thanks for dropping by and commenting!

Second, maybe our great grandsons will be trekking through the universe and laughing at their technologically inept great grandfathers!

Not too cocky! More amazed on how far we have travelled in 50 or so years. I believe that technological advancements will happen exponentially as we move forward! So, I cannot even fathom where we as a people might be in 50 years!

Bugger I thought this was the acceptance ceremony for First Media's new server.

Then it couldn't be as it probably reliable and works.

I am a First Media cable customer! They keep hassling me to take out the whole show with Internet and the like and I keep telling them to bugger off!

I use Telkom Speedy and they tend to suck on occasion as well but I figure it is better the devil you know than the devil you don't on this one!

Besides you keep confirming my suspicions that the First Media Internet service is not all its cracked up to be :D

This cannot work in fact, that is what I consider.
