Light-Hearted Entertainment

In light of the heated exchanges on a couple of the earlier posts I made, I offer up this much more light-hearted moment.

Did you know that the Hawaiian alphabet only has 12 letters.

Well, if you didn't know this, I am happy to have been of service in increasing your knowledge of important things today!

Have a nice evening or day depending on where you are!

Rob, its pretty obvious to me that the reason the Hawaiians are deficient in alphabet numbers is clearly related to colonial domination.

These poor chaps suffered a wave of colonialists in 600AD from Marquesas, and then five hundred years later from the Society Islands. Another 500 years later and bugger me if Captain Cook didn’t rock up with his clap ridden crew.

And if getting clap from British sailors wasn’t enough, Uncle Sam arrived in 1900 and he still hasn’t gone home.

I’m not surprised they only have 12 letters in the alphabet. No doubt the rest were stolen by these wicked colonialists.

Dear God I’m shocked at this. They could have developed so much further without those colonial oppressors. They could now be whipping young girls for gambling, cutting hands off hands for stealing and imprisoning married women for having lipstick in their handbags.

I propose we send one of our Blogging Brethren to Hawaii on an urgent colonial oppression fact finding mission.
