Obama Wins!

Pennsylvania!

This is one of the "battleground states" and one that most pundits have been saying from day one that John McCain had to win in order to win the White House!

Mathematically, the contest is far from over and by most accounts McCain is doing better in the early counting than many expected. Dropping Pennsylvania though is a pretty big body blow and one that he and the Republicans are unlikely to recover from unless McCain is able to pull Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, and Virginia.

Maybe an update later in the day.

The photo is of Obama and his wife casting their votes.

It's over. According to CNN Mccain has called Obama to concede.

Thank God that Palin has finally stopped yapping. She is unbelievably stupid.

Therry...

I am not sure she will be stopped for long. There seems to be a feeling in John McCain's concession speech that she is the future of the Republican party.

If this is the case, then the Republicans might be in for a long stint in the wilderness.

Can you imagine Palin as president of the USA!!
Gawd help us!! She's already destroyed McCain's future, what a bad choice she was.

Just some Bush faux pas for a chuckle.

Rob..

Sorry to hog your blog.

I do not think Palin destroyed John McCain's future. McCain will go back to the Senate and will remain their until he either pulls up stumps or is voted out.

I do not think that McCain would have won with someone else in the Veep slot. He was up against a man who seemed destined for the job and in that sense it would not have mattered.

Feel free to hog the blog.

There are some classics in your list.

Rob..

What I really meant was (IF!) McCain became president and something happened to him I assume the vice pres would take over! what a mess that would have been.
Anyway it didn’t happen thank gawd!

Re. Hoggin’ the blog I try not to but sometimes I get a bit carried away.

Classics? I think your taking the proverbial!!

I am not sure the fear of John McCain kicking the bucket and Sarah Palin taking over swung many voters away from McCain.

I really think it is as simple as McCain came up against a destiny candidate who was going to win in an almost no matter what happens way.

Nah, not taking the piss. They are classics in the sense of being funny and in the sense that this is likely to be part of the Bush legacy. Kind of like cigars, peppermints, and Monica Lewinsky for Bill Clinton.

LOL. Those Bush' quotes are hilarious.

yea not bad, there’s loads more on the web, but now we don’t have anyone to take the piss out of!
Mind you I'm sure we'll find someone.

They are pretty funny. Schmerly is right in saying there are lots more out there.

I wonder has anybody sat down and collected them all, the quotes that is, and put them into a series of books?

I am pretty sure I have seen a collection, an anthology if you will, of some Bush quotes. Yet, I would think that the market would be receptive of more.
