The Australian National Anthem

I am sure that some people would be truly offended by someone doing a version of their national to a rock song. However, this is seriously funny. If only we could laugh at ourselves more often then the world is likely to be a much more peaceful place.

This version is also good because it does the second verse of the National Anthem and hardly anyone knows the second verse.

I am a proud Australian and always will be! I am proud of the National Anthem and I am proud that as Australians we have a sense of humor that we can take our National Anthem put it to a rock tune and still be proud!

Rob..

Your not a real Ozz, with a name like RAB, that’s jockaneez!
Mind you I do have a soft spot for Ozzies I like their anti establishment attitude, and their dry sense of humour.

Glad to have been of assistance! Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment.

Thanks, I think! I have always wanted to be jockaneez as opposed to real Ozz.

I only demand that people choose a pen name to post here as it makes it easier to distinguish who is who.

Thanks for the feedback and your desire to see me "revert" to the original format. The original format was black. So, your comment suggests that you have not been following me from the start.

In terms of going back to the previous version, well I am going to play around with this one for a while and see if I can work some things out.

However, I might give more gravitas to your comment and your request (although it reads like a demand) that I return to the original format if you were prepared to come out of the pen name closet and identify who you are.

Something I have always been consistent on is that I blog primarily for myself and if I entertain anyone in the process then that is a bonus. If people want to read what I am writing, then fine. If they are not interested in reading what I am writing because they do not like a black background then so be it. It is a free world this here blogosphere in the sense of being able to choose what you read and where you go to read it.

Enjoy your day.

Rob,
I was just stating my opinion, what you do with your blog is your own business.
I just think the double column layout is confusing and messy. It does not display well on my 800x600 netbook, the pictures overlap.
If you must stick to thee black background, then at least see this blog: http://universalcrap.blogspot.com/

As for who i really am, what difference does it make? You don't know me from adam, we will probably never meet face to face.

Cheers.

My original black background was a single column in the same vein as the link provided.

Yes, what I do with my blog is my own business. However, I did thank you for your feedback and without sarcasm. I am not a techno whiz so to be honest had not considered whether or not the format would display well on a laptop at 800x600. This is something I can look into and try and address (I did say that I was still tweaking the new format to try and make it work).

Yep, I do not know you from Adam, Steve, John, Muhammad, Ishmail, or Ross, whether we meet face-to-face is irrelevant.

You want to call me on the consistency of my opinions on, let's say, the death penalty, then it is fair that you ante up and let me know who you are. It is easy to criticize from behind a veil of semi-secrecy. That was my point and nothing else.

Invisible..(who ever you are)

If you don’t like this Blog, Mr 800X600 Netbook! Then you have a choice, you can either get yourself a decent Netbook or be a bit more polite and respect the guy who’s Blog this is, or you can (if your so opinionated) get your own Blog! Maybe you can make your sad comments on that but you will have to brush up on your editing skills first yea!

To each their own. I simply cannot please everybody with these changes. Therefore, provided I am happy then so be it.

If I changed this to suit a particular screen size then there would surely be people coming out of the woodwork wanting me to change it to a size better for them.

I am opting for 3 post per page at the moment. This generally works better but not always in terms of the columns not being all over the place.

In terms of being on topic. What about that national anthem?

Yea Rob I so you want to be a Jock? I can just picture you in a Tartan mini skirt!!

Re. national anthem, see I told you so the Ozzies have no respect for authority.
What will the Queen say??

Jockaneez not in terms of a Scotsman but in terms of a sports nut. The beauty of language, ehhh? :D

Schmerly, I use a netbook because it is highly portable, meaning very lightweight and an average 6 hour battery life. However, this means a smaller screen size. So what exactly do you mean by a "decent laptop"? If you mean that I should get a larger screen laptop, that would defeat the purpose entirely! Please do educate yourself further: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netbook

Rob,
Thanks for taking my complaint into consideration, I know you will do your best. I also believe there is elegance in simplicity.

As I said, I am not sure that I can please everyone. Although, I am trying to do the best I can to make the blog look reasonable for the majority that drop by.

On laptops, of which I now have three, I am tending to the smaller is better. I guess if I get much smaller then I might have to think about my blog much more size consciously.

Then again...
