Just a Short Note

Dear All...

I am tinkering with the layout and colors of my blog. I am being helped by the treespotter in this endeavour. My apologies if you happen to drop by while we have been alternating between black and white backgrounds.

Hopefully, I (or at least the treespotter) will have it all worked out.

I must say that I am grateful that the treespotter is taking the time to help me out with this. It is much appreciated. It is time for a new look to The RAB Experience.

Post Script...

There is still some tinkering to be had going forward to get all the posts formatted in the same way for your viewing pleasure. I am told that this template better suits the volume of posts I manage to write...

Feedback is always appreciated. So, don't be afraid to speak your mind!

Post Script 2...

Feedback question. Is the current template readable? I am sure that there will be some that preferred the previous version. I am trying to make the blog more readable in the sense of ease of navigation. I am partial to black so I am not sure that will change, but I really want to make sure that the text is readable.

It's very dark...

it is but with the light colored font it is easy enough to read, right?

I / we are still tinkering with it to try and make it work.

I want to try and use a couple of columns seeing I post 2 or 4 entries a day on average...

Thanks for the feedback.

Hmmm, have you tried lighter? I like Hemingway (use it myself), but find that it looks best when really minimalist.

I actually really liked your old layout/design, but its great you're redesigning!

Brett...

In terms of background or text?

They say change is as good as a holiday (and I have not had a real holiday for a while). Not sure who they are yet.

The treespotter is doing most of the work on it (He's bored and I am hopeless with the tech stuff).

Thanks for the early morning feedback.

On a different topic. I heard something about toast and twitter at your place this morning.

Wow, feel a bit mysterious and serious atmosphere here :-)

I like it.

But I think I'll wait till Ace finished with the lay out.

Seems 3 coloumn were fit with your number of post in a day.

Rob, perhaps you can lighten the font color under your posting (I cannot see the comments icon clearly) as it looks a bit dark on my screen. Thanks :)

Tere...

Black does make it seem a little more serious, doesn't it?

The layout is pretty much done. Some fine tuning and some widgets to add is about it.

Elyani...

Onto it! Thanks for the feedback.

Rob..

I think the background, layout, content Etc.. depends on what your trying to get across, serious discussion, light hearted banter bla, bla, bla.

Personally I think dark colours on any blog tend to signify serious discussion, (that’s only my impression)
It’s really up to you mate what you want to convey to the readers, after all it is your blog, (not much help am I!)

Me personally will go along with any layout you decide on, so long as I can read it,
It’s good little blog Rob, lots of interesting feedback from people of very different backgrounds, cultures Etc..

Thanks for giving all of us somewhere to air our views on the world.
