Krisdayanti & Anang -- Divorced Talaq Style

Krisdayanti is often referred to as an Indonesian Diva and some people might argue that she behaves like a spoilt little diva at times as well. Krisdayanti or KD as she is known was way more famous than her husband to be when she married Anang Hermansyah back in 1996. And, as it turns out she is still more famous than her husband now that they have divorced.

The divorce took place four days before Ramadan and has not been done through the religious court yet. This means that it was a talaq divorce and therefore done in accordance with Islamic principles that govern divorce.

There have been rumours that the marriage has been in trouble for years. It seems that Krisdayanti was the one with the alleged wandering eye. Maybe she was married too young and had not tested the waters enough, or sown enough wild oats or something. Anang was a little reserved on the reasons for the divorce and simply said that it was not his choice but his wife's choice, There were no qualms about targeting the kids to find out what they knew. In what is sure to be a bit of a scoop for SCTV, Titania Aurelie Hermansyah at a mere 11-years-old offerred up that one time while she was swimming mummy was in the bedroom with an East Timorese businessman. The only way this might have been more sensational was if young Titania was asked to describe the noises she heard coming from the bedroom or name the man!

However, this might go a long way to explaining why KD was in Timor Leste for the recent Independence Day celebrations and doing the jig with Ramos Horta and Xanana.

The Jakarta Globe is reporting that the divorce is going to be amicable with KD and Anang already having agreed to custody of the children and the division of their "billion-dollar" fortune (assets). I have gotta say, I always knew that KD was popular and Anang had some success, but a billion dollars is a lot of money. Even on a 50-50 split that makes each of them worth at least 500 million dollars each.

Would care to make some back of the envelope calculations about how an artist in this economy can make a billion dollars in less than 15 years??

Anong...

I was a little surprised myself at the thought that they had amassed quite so much in such a comparatively short period of time.

Surprised, perhaps, not because it is not possible but I do not recall seeing either of them on Indonesian rich lists.

Even if it is only half what was reported it is still a lot. Perhaps they meant billion rupiah fortune, but then again that does not seem to be that much when one thinks about the number prefaced by rupiah.

Good luck to them :D

i really love the way you wrote "Maybe she was married too young and had not tested the waters enough"

Why?

Is it not possible that something like that is the case? :D

I figured seeing it is alleged that KD was the primary wanderer in the relationship then it was likely she was the one more into trying "new" things :)

Anyways, it is proving to be a popular post. Maybe the next one will just have to be a KD post with tags that better match the pictures that I am planning to attach, if you get my drift? :)))

I thought she just recently released a new autobiography about her life with pics of her being all lovey dovey with Anang on what seems to be their marital bed (Thanks to my mum who'd bring me stacks of tabloids full of Mano gossips not too long ago).

I have a feeling that the 'divorce' is not the real deal. This is a good way to make a come back to be headline news in infotainment etc and pile up another "billion" of dollars!

:)

KD (of Katadia fame)...

Yep, heard that along the grapevine.

The conspiracy theorists in us would suggest that this is all a beat up. Considering, the divorce has been done talaq style and not through the courts (yet).

However, that said before they could resume marriage, if the divorce talaq style has been done, doesn't she have to marry someone else first?

For me, the clincher was the SCTV interview of the kid where the kid offers up that mummy was in the bedroom with another man. That has ouch written all over it.

Pak Rob, she have to marry someone else first only if they divorce for the third time it's mean they still can marry again if this is the first talaq (divorce)

Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment. Comments are always appreciated.

Thanks for filling me in. I only recalled something, and albeit vaguely, that in Islam you had to marry someone else. But, now I am a little more clued in than before.

So, once again, thanks.
