Cool Pregnancy Photos...
I am not sure whether this is real or an excellent example of using photoshop software. No matter, it is a pretty cool photo.

Paris Hilton All Vamped Up...
One day, I hope to be able to learn enough about photoshop and other image editing software so that I can play around with the odd photo or two.
Worth1000.com have a series of celebrities that have been photoshopped with a Twilight theme. All vampires of course.
This one is so obviously Paris Hilton. I had to do a double take to see what had been photoshopped (just kidding!)

Emma Watson Fakes -- A Harry Potter Fantasy...
I am going to write this post and put the pictures in at the end. If you are reading this, then I have decided to post it.
At the moment, the post has been written purely to preserve the links to the fake and real photos of Emma Watson.
I have said many times that I am kind of glad that I am not a celebrity. Although, even if I was and looking like I do, I am pretty sure I would not have to worry about the sorts of things that the beautiful people do. Emma Watson made her fame and started her fortune courtesy of the Harry Potter film franchise. I, personally, think that she is going to develop into a fine young actor and have a long career in the film business, if she wants it. Yet, there is nothing like the possibility of a scandal, even a manufactured one, to dent one's career prospects.
My guess is, now that she is of age, that there will be a constant stream of "fakes" flooding the market trying to capitalise on her fame. Nothing quite like riding on the coattails of others in order to score your very own 15 minutes of fame.
Ms. Watson is currently studying at Brown University in the USA. Good Ivy League school. If I had had the money at the time, it might have been a school that I considered. Yet, when push comes to shove, I am more likely to head to a school like Columbia University. Maybe with a bit of luck, and before I get too much older, I might do some post-graduate work there in law. Perhaps, my thesis can be on fake porn and the legal consequences of it and the development of virtual porn. But, I digress, this is a post about Emma Watson and fake pictures of her breasts.
Here are the "fake" and "real" pictures for your perusal. The picture is not of a near-naked Emma Watson standing next to a spa. Some people have some real skills with Photoshop when it comes to manipulating images. I am sure that even a fake shot will be more than enough for some Harry Potter fans.

Fail Blog?
The internet is a place of some truly weird and fascinating stuff. It is also home to some real nasty stuff as well. But, I had never heard of this site until today, failblog.org. Yet, if you are looking to lighten up your day then this might be a place to visit in order to see how the other half lives...

Police vs. Demonstrators -- Indonesian Style...
This rather disturbing image that came through on Facebook shows just how far Indonesia has come since 1998 under the stewardship of Habibie, Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur), Megawati, and Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY). It would seem that the police way of repelling unruly demonstrators is to point guns at them.
I am not advocating that students or others have a right to violent protest. What I am wondering is whether pointing guns at them and shooting them is an appropriate or proportional response.
As to the image. I do not know of its authenticity or lack thereof. I pass comment only on that which I see in it.

Cathy Sharon, Not...
I figured I have done the celebrity thing to death for now. Unfortunately, any dreams I might have been harbouring that posting all these risque photos was going to increase traffic flow to my blog has turned out to be a real non-starter. Therefore, this is the last of these posts in this series.
The photos are of Cathy Sharon. Well, at least, the head belongs to Cathy Sharon. The body on the other hand is that of a Japanese starlet, Nozomi Sasaki. So, it just goes to show what one can do with some up-to-date technology, the right software, and the necessary skills to bring the two together.
Not bad for fakes.

Hmmmm...

A change of pace. I figured that a photo to make you smile would make an interesting change from what I have been posting of late; for you and for me.
This photo was sent to me as part of an Irish joke. It also included a sentence about it being a 'real' photograph. I am always a little weary of real photographs and the internet. The cold hard reality is that there are some real masters out there of the technology and software who can manufacture 'real' photos.
I cannot make the writing out on the street signs so the photo could really be anywhere. Maybe someone recognizes the buildings or the signs. Supposedly the footpath is the one outside the Royal Hospital in Belfast.
It is kind of funny and put a smile on my dial. People really cannot be that silly can they? Those bollards, at least one of them, must lift out and then can be replaced and then locked, right?
Oh well!

Maria Ozawa, Miyabi, and Instant Noodles...

This post is obviously much lighter fare than the couple of posts previous. However, people with a sense of humor and photoshop skills are never boring. This is something that I found floating around the internet during my travels from here to there. I find it very amusing. Perhaps it is a case of small things amuse small minds. But, I do wish I had the photoshop skills to do these sorts of things myself.
Instant noodles usually feed quite a good proportion of the population on any one day. So, this is a very funny and excellent tongue in cheek job.
I am not sure what would be a good translation of "rasa ayam kampus". But, a loose translation would be "tastes like a campus [college] girl".

Is Boediono the Man for Veep?

There were quite a few questions asked at the time Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) chose Boediono as his running mate and Vice President. Not of the Boedi who type, but rather an analysis of why the incumbent president chose the former Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs and, at that time, the Head of the Central / Reserve Bank (Bank Indonesia). Yet, the rationale might have been as simple as, "at least it is not Jusuf Kalla!".
That is not to say that Boediono is not an accomplished individual and worthy of the nomination that turned out to be his ticket to the vice presidency, and a heartbeat from the big chair. However, he is certain not to be a constant pain in the proverbial with off the cuff statements about the state of play in Indonesia. JK was renowned for his ability to produce news bites that did not always show SBY's administration in the best light.
Now, Boediono has stepped into the VP slot, or has he?
This photo is doing the rounds on the internet. It has a "Kompas" tag to it. But, I had a quick squizz on Kompas and could not find the photo to link to. But, it is interesting even if it is a photoshop job. It is interesting for the statement that it makes, particularly if you are a cynical pundit like I sometimes can be.
Hope you have all had a good weekend.

What Is The World Coming To?

I have titled this post "What Is The World Coming To?" for the simple reason that this photograph represents, to me, the problems that we face as a community.
That said, I hope that the missus and I can raise young Will with a healthy dose of respect for his elders and an appreciation of the difficulties faced by those less fortunate than he. I would be a little annoyed if I saw a photo like this floating around the twitter-sphere or the internet with young Will front and center giving the bird to some poor old lady. He'd be off down to the nearest shelter or soup kitchen for a cold hard dose of reality to see how some others have to struggle to survive.
My first thought was that this photo was photoshopped or it was staged. Then, I started thinking about some of my experiences in Indonesia. I can see this photo, and I have seen this photo many times, the only difference was that I was not carrying my camera to catch that moment.
This is a sad indictment of where we are as people and what we are teaching our children if this sort of behaviour is acceptable.
I borrowed this photo from the treespotter and his incarnation of treeatwork. I would like to give credit to whoever took the photograph. So, if anyone knows, feel free to drop me a line. I will add a postscript to give credit where credit is due.
But enough of the preaching. I look forward to comments (if anyone wants to make one or two).

Gorillas -- Smarter Than You Think!

Once I had been given the bird, so to speak, I would be high-tailing it out of there. I can always ask questions later, right?
I am guessing this is another effort utilizing adobe photoshop. It just reaffirms my desire to learn how to use the available technology. I am not into the photoshopping of myself shaking hands with world leaders or bedding stunningly beautiful women and the like but it would just be fun to play around with.
Once again I have borrowed this particular picture from here. Also once again I am sure I have seen it somewhere else as well.
Parking Practice -- Aliens

If we would just open our eyes we would see that they are everywhere! The picture I have seen before (at least I think I have seen it before) but I borrowed this one from here.
I wish I was more technologically savvy so that I could photoshop pictures. I have a weird and wicked sense of humour so I think I could be good at it. I reckon there must be an adobe class somewhere in Jakarta. Any suggestions were a person with limited skills goes to get skilled-up?
Thanks!

Termites -- Rockers of the Ages

Well, if you did not know this, now you do!
So, next time you are sitting in front of the old laptop hammering away on the keyboard with the rock music turned up loud you should be afraid, very afraid, because you are contributing to your own news story of the person crushed by the falling ceiling!
Therefore, for your own sake do not contribute to the delinquency of those little punk rocker termites!
It is too bad I do not have the photo-shopping skills of my blogging colleague Dilligaf because then I could have dressed these little termites up into some real punk rockers. His site is highly recommended not only for the artwork but for the man's personal and unique take on the happenings in this part of the world.
