Michael Jackson -- No Rest in Peace, Yet...

How messy is the carve up of the legacy of Michael Jackson going to be?

News starting to circulate includes a leaked autopsy report that suggests Jackson was nothing more than a skeleton whose stomach contents contained nothing more than pills. The rest of the autopsy report suggests that Jackson was bald, his body was riddled with needle marks from painkilling injections, and that his body bore the scars of at least 13 cosmetic operations.

The past few days have also seen Jackson's former wife, Deborah Rowe, and at one time mother of his children, Prince and Paris, come out with a statement that the children are not even his. The story being that she was artificially inseminated by an unknown donor.

You have to feel for the kids.

This is undoubtedly just the tip of the iceberg.

None of those allegations would surprise me. Sad ending for a sad individual. And saddest for the kids.

I just watched his dad is being interviewed by CNN and he took the opportunity to promote his recording studio, he looked happy, smiled broadly while claimed he cried inside. No wonder MJ hated his father.

I guess in the posts that I have done on it, I am wondering if you can separate the musical genius from what the allegations would suggest is a very flawed character?

I wonder how much of the eccentricity can be attributed to what amounts to a lost childhood in an equally lost family?

But, yes, when it is all said and done one has gotta feel for those kids, no matter how the biological parents are.

The old man was never one to miss an opportunity. You can bet your bottom dollar he will be fighting tooth and nail to get a slice of the Michael Jackson legacy.

I am such a cynic on the old man's motivations that I reckon the play for guardianship on the kids is a shot at ensuring that he gets a slice of the financial pie (assuming there is anything left to be divvied up).

I always wondered whether the kids were really kids. I mean, I know he suffered from that skin disorder, but surely his DNA is still that of an african american. Just doesn't make sense that all his kids seem white.
Although the eldest does somewhat resemble him (from what I can gather in the pics of him without a cloth over his face)

I do feel sorry for him, and he is a legend. But it's also sad to see a man as great as he is not being able to take care of things and just be more normal.

Never even thought about the colour of the kids skin as a consideration in terms of whether MJ was one of the parents.

Then again, to be honest I have not been searching for pictures of them with their faces uncovered. I have really only just started seeing pictures of them unmasked recently.

I am guessing that DNA tests will now be part of the equation in light of the ex-wife's statement on paternity.

It is sad that he could not take better care of his own affairs, but then I guess this shows what can happen when you do not.

I'm convinced his lost childhood and screwed up family are responsible for his eccentricity. He never had a fighting chance.

And it just seems like it's gonna be rougher and rougher for those kids with each passing day and more and more bizarre revelations are made. They could not have a fighting chance as well.

Mate, could not agree more. These kids are up against it in terms of having a "normal" childhood and upbringing.
