I always prefer a pen name so that I can distinguish you from other anonymous posters ;)
Norman Gunston...funny you should say that as I am about to shave his head (although I am hoping there won't be any need for torn up little bits of toilet paper)...
To answer your question. The shaving of the head is an old wive's tale that seems to be based on an idea that it allows for a thicker and more even hair growth.
Second, there is the myth that there is some kind of hygiene benefit.
I am not keen to do it and have been avoiding having to do it.
In Indonesia it seems to be a traditional thing. I read in an Indonesian magazine, just today, about all the supposed benefits of the practice. I have done a little bit of internet searching and most of the articles are less than favourable on the idea.
My take is that the little fella's hair will fall out on its own anyway. And what does not fall out can be cut off with his first hair cut.
wah Will baru cukuran ya? Will is a cutie and it looks like he’s on the go all the time, at least that's what I see from his eyes! Enjoy it while you can, they grow up way too fast!
After considerable internet research that suggests that the cukuran thing is nothing more than an old wives' tale, it has been decided that Will will remain a hairy little bugger.
He is growing fast, perhaps even too fast, but we are enjoying it. He is pretty demanding at the moment though. Mainly because he is sleeping in only short bursts of an hour or so. Sometimes we get lucky and he sleeps for a couple of hours.

Thanks! It is weird, in a good way, that he is so little but so wise looking.

He actually looks a lot like you - the facial features and everything, except that he has blue eyes.
What a cutie! (for Will, not you) :P
Look at those eyes! He's very engaging!
Therry...
I figured the cutie was Will ;)
Amanda...
Thanks. It is strange because the little fella can't talk but most people say things like "he looks so wise (or serious)" and stuff similar.
I think Will looks like his mother. Or maybe both of you ?
Naahh, I think Will looks like his mother more than you :-p
I love Will's pict, look at his smile, so cute :-)

With all due respect. I think the little fella is looking at the man behind the camera (and that would be me).
