The People That Matter...
Life is all about priorities. It is worth remembering what our priorities are in life, and remembering them often...here are mine!

Will, Santa, and Christmas 2009...

Happy holidays to all.
For those celebrating Christmas, may it be a wonderful time for you all shared with family and friends.
This photo of Will was taken on Saturday. We had been enjoying a day at the markets at Warwick Farm and Liverpool. While we were at Liverpool, Santa was doing the rounds. So, we thought it as good a time as any to get a happy snappy of Will with Santa. However, it seems that Will is not so sure that the fat man in the red suit is all that cool.
I am sure that over time Will will come to appreciate Santa and Mrs. Claus, especially if the Christmas stocking continues to be filled in the same way that it is this year!

More Happy Snappies of Will...
There is no guessing that we are proud parents, is there?
The lucky little fella seems to have scored the best genes from both his parents :D

Will Starts Eating Solids...
Maybe I need to change the name of my blog to "The WAB Files" seeing there seems to be a lot of posts about the comings and goings in Will's life.
Will is now six months old and we have started him on solids, rice cereal to be specific. We were expecting that it might take some time for him to get the hang of swallowing solids. However, no troubles on that front as the little fella got straight into the swing of that.
It is an amazing thing to watch babies grow into children and I am expecting it will be equally amazing watching Will grow through his youth and into adulthood.

Will Learning to Crawl...
Will has taken a liking to the newspaper and pretty much anything else that has some colour to it. It is proving to be good inspiration to get him on the move.
Kids are truly amazing. I might be biased, but I do not think that I am, when I say that young Will is truly amazing.
It may be a big responsibility, but it is also a privilege, to be intimately involved in bringing a child into this world and raising them to face the future.
Now, that the little fella is on the move me need to make sure that we have everything baby-proofed.

Counting Down the Hours...
Even though there is still more than 24 hours before Dyah, Will, and I depart for the land downunder, it suddenly all seems so much more real. The morning has been spent tidying up the last remnants of required packing and loading stuff into a truck to be transported to Tanjung Priok for sea freighting to Australia.
On the sea freight, I will let you know. If all the stuff that we packed, some 33 boxes, all arrives then it will have turned out to have been a cheap deal.
I am actually looking forward to getting "home". I have not been home for many years and it is time for a change. It does not matter whether it is temporary or more long term. But, the reality is that I am hoping that it will refresh me. I also hope that Dyah is looking forward to the move. It is a big step for anybody to just up and move their life from one country to another, particularly when you are moving away from friends and family that are your usual safety mechanisms for dealing with life's little torments.
For Will, it is just going to be another adventure with different people to play with and carry him around and to give him goodies and spoil him rotten.
I am guessing that I will probably write more about Indonesia when I am not here than I have been writing of late while I am here. Who knows.
Later alligators....
