Here are a few more factoids for the "did you know" file.

1. In the course of an average lifetime you will, while sleeping, eat 70 assorted insects and 10 spiders;

2. From the age of thirty, humans gradually begin to shrink (I am already nine years into my shrink -- and I am not sure that I can afford to shrink);

3. The juice inside a young coconut can be used as a substitute for blood plasma;

4. The youngest pope was eleven years old; and,

5. The largest cell in the human body is the female reproductive cell, the ovum. The smallest is the male sperm (this is why women will ultimately dominate the world :D).

It has been a while since I posted some interesting, or not, piece of trivia. Generally, these tid bits are only every going to be useful in games like trivial pursuit or Jeopardy or maybe Who Wants to be a Millionaire. But, they are fun.

Just because I cannot think of anything else interesting to write. And, I also read that Tiger Woods might not be back for a long while. So, this got me thinking about golf.

Did you know that Americans spend more than USD 630 million per year on golf balls.

That means that there must be a lot of balls going into the water hazards.

Ducks and Quacks

Keeping up the tradition of posts that contain interesting but ultimately useless facts and information, I have this to add:

A duck's quack does not echo!

I do not know who engages in this kind of scientific enquiry and the importance of knowing such information. Nevertheless, who am I to judge such endeavours?

Someone should update the questions on trivial pursuit because I am sure to be a legend in my own lifetime :D
