Obama's 75,000-Word Email to the Nation...
You have to give credit where credit is due. The people over at The Onion are a humorous bunch of news providers.
It seems that the latest news from The Onion relates to a rambling 75,000-word email that the Commander-in-Chief sent to all Americans. The email was titled, somewhat ironically, "a couple of things". President Obama is clearly a frustrated man struggling to come to grips with the nature of the Washington political game. To see just how frustrated he is, read.
I wonder if Fox News Channel will pick up this story and run with it? Maybe Glenn Back will have a crack at this story. It sort of fits in with the 'birther' type stories. Or the raging lefty, pinko, communist (or is that socialist?) anti-Christ that the president allegedly represents. Ho hum...
Enjoy!

Public Service Email Accounts for Personal Affairs: Inappropriate...
What was this bloke thinking? Seriously, a department-wide email to track down a girl! Steve Tucker decided that the girl he met at a party might be the girl of his dreams, but the night ended in a manner he did not like. Presumably, he did not get her contact details or she did not want to hand them over. The girl, who has yet to be identified by anything other than "Olivia" who is tall and olive skinned, was supposedly staying with a colleague. So, the decision was made to send a department-wide email.
The department, Immigration and Citizenship, email system was utilised in order to track Olivia down.
Funnily enough, Tucker sensed that there would be repercussions for this 'inappropriate' use of the email system, but explained that despite any misgivings about the inappropriateness he felt it was a risk that he had to take. Well, that risk apparently is now being investigated by the relevant internal authorities at the department.
From my very vague recollections of employment law, this is unlikely to see Mr. Tucker fired. He is likely to be reprimanded for the inappropriate use. Let's face it, this is a slap on the wrist offense at best. He has not used the system to bag fellow colleagues or to send porn. He has used the system to track down a girl.
Nevertheless, that said, it would be interesting if DIAC did sack the bloke. I wonder if he would pursue an unfair dismissal claim?

Liars and Google Mail
Nah...for all of you that are never on time or use the excuse that; "But Boss, I did send the email, six hours ago in fact!" Then this one is for you...I never realized that Google would become this user friendly. I guess because it is Google technology that Google will not be able to be fooled by Google employees that custom time their emails to hours or days before!
It does mean you have to have a good memory so that you do not custom time your email before you received the original from someone else...
Aren't you wishing you bought shares in Google at USD 85 when they were on offer!

Internet Black Holes
I have now found the perfect excuse for that missing email that I have not sent but say that I have -- black hole!
Recent research out of the University of Washington has uncovered that the Internet is literally teeming with black holes. Similar to their space bound counterparts, they too gobble up electronic stuff like emails...
Simply, next time you are waiting for an email from me which I have not sent -- black hole!
"Really? I sent that email yesterday! Must be those darn cyber space black holes in action again!"
