Movember...

I am all for good causes, and this is one.

Prostate cancer is a killer of men, and it is killing us in ever-increasingly large numbers. Early detection is key. Any man who is 40-years-old really should consider getting checked out. Movember, the month formally known as November, also raises funds for depression.

Movember started in Australia. It has already spread to a number of other countries, including the USA, The Netherlands, Finland, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, UK, Ireland and Spain. Each of these countries has an official Movember. However, there is plenty of informal support in most other countries throughout the world.

So, if you can get involved, then you should. Men's health is important too!

By the looks of things, I am off to Target to buy a T-Shirt.

Maybe I should post photographs of the facial hair...then again, maybe not!

How To Take A Penalty -- Spanish Style...

Ezequiel Calvente showed one and all how to take a penalty in the recent U19 European Championships. I wonder how long it will be until we see someone have a go at this in one of the big leagues or senior championships.

The Spanish Federation Cup Team

I guess the Spanish just do not get it. This pretty picture was apparently taken in February of this year and just before the Spanish Federation Cup team was to meet China in a round of the tennis competition.

The Spanish Team is finding itself at the centre of a racism row as a photo has emerged of the whole team seemingly slanting their eyes. In this politically correct world that we live in this is undoubtedly going to be viewed as racist even if the intent was not to be so.

The ad was for a courier company. However, what is interesting is that the Spanish basketball team has just signed a four-year deal with a Chinese shoe company, Li Ning Footwear.

My question would be, "Why didn't anyone associated with this shot consider how it might be deemed racist?"
