YMCA -- The Village People...
Village People - YMCA (version originale)
Uploaded by scorpiomusic. - Explore more music videos.
As I was driving home this evening The Village People's biggest hit came on the radio, YMCA. It amazes me that even after all these years I still remember all the words and the dance moves to go with them. When I was a kid the Girl Guides used to hold a disco for all the local children to attend. And, I remember, some thirty years later that all us kids used to get down and boogie to this song.
At ten years old, I was not interested in the politics of the song. I could not care less whether it was a "gay anthem" that dealt with the idea that the Young Men's Christian Association was some kind of gay pick-up joint. The Village People were cool! I still like The Village People and this is still my favourite Village People song.
For those of you who are too young to remember the audacious moves to accompany the YMCA, then here they are.
Y — arms outstretched and raised upwards
M — made by bending the elbows from the 'Y' pose so the fingertips meet over the chest
C — arms extended to the left
A — hands held together above head

Pole Dancing Is A Sport, Right?
I am thinking that I need to ratchet-up my fitness levels. So, I have been looking for a sport that would allow me to burn a few calories and not be too hard on an old man's body.
Here are some pole dancing photos from the Miss Pole Dance South America 2010.

Cebu Pacific Airlines Dancing Flight Attendants...
My daily travels on the internet quite often reveal some real interesting stuff. This is one of those real fun things, at least to my simple mind. Cebu Pacific Airlines has decided to 'freshen' up its in-flight safety routine by getting their flight attendants to dance and do their safety thing to the music of Lady Gaga.
This is a bonus so to speak because it happens once the flight reaches cruising altitude. The airline does the standard Civil Aviation mandated safety procedures before the flight gets off the ground. Cebu Pacific airlines seems to think that this will work as a marketing strategy to get more people on their planes. I am not sure that it will now that the video can be watched on YouTube, but one never knows on these things, right?
I guess they now freshen this up by getting the flight attendants to do this in swimsuits and bikinis. Although, I did not notice a whole lot of male flight attendants on the job.
Enjoy!

Moonwalking in Wal-Mart...
The video is a mere 9 seconds long and is over before you know it. You will have to, and want to, replay it a number of times.
Very cool! I wish some one had moonwalked in front of me in Woolworths earlier this evening, it would have put a smile on my dial for sure. Feel free to share it round.

Wedding Humour -- Jewish...

A modern Orthodox Jewish couple, preparing for a religious wedding meets with their rabbi for counselling.
The rabbi asks if they have any last questions before they leave.
The man asks:
Rabbi, we realise it’s tradition for men to dance with men,and women to dance with women at the reception. But, we’d like your permission to dance together, like the rest of the world.
Says the rabbi:
Absolutely not. It’s immodest. Men and women always dance separately.
So, after the ceremony I can’t even dance with my own wife?
“No,” answered the rabbi. “It’s forbidden.”
“Well, okay,” says the man,”What about sex? Can we finally have sex?”
“Of course!” replies the rabbi. “Sex is a mitzvah – a good thing within marriage – to have children!”
“What about different positions?” asks the man
“No problem,” says the rabbi “It’s a mitzvah!”
“Woman on top?” the man asks.
“Sure,” says the rabbi. “Go for it! It’s a mitzvah!”
“Doggy style?”
“Sure! Another mitzvah!”
“On the kitchen table?”
“Yes, yes! A mitzvah!”
“Can we do it on rubber sheets with a bottle of hot oil, a couple of vibrators, a leather harness, a bucket of honey and a porno video?”
“You may indeed. It’s all a mitzvah!”
“Can we do it standing up?”
“No!”thunders the rabbi.
“Why not?” asks the man.
“Could lead to dancing!”
This joke and the picture has been taken from The Freethinker blog. I would encourage everyone to go and have a read of the posts made. They are always interesting and thought-provoking, even when they might not be your cuppa tea.
