Glass - if it doesn't break is a like a stiff spring. Rubber is much softer and more energy is lost into a rubber ball when it deforms than a glass one.

I suppose this is also why motorcycle helmets are designed with some sort of energy dampening material - certainly not pjhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14482542083622607305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9136987847943346639.post-89680163315737871602008-07-25T02:23:00.000+07:002008-07-25T02:23:00.000+07:00Therry...Me too!It is a case of the "as usual" for...Therry...

Me too!

It is a case of the "as usual" for me. Surfing the internet and wasting time looking for bizarre little factoids.

I am not sure why someone would need to test this and what it contributes to the world of science. It might just be a Newtonian thing where instead of the apple fallingout of the tree the ball of glass did!Rob Baitonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05122219639222126602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9136987847943346639.post-52877377172086288812008-07-24T18:17:00.000+07:002008-07-24T18:17:00.000+07:00Who the hell tested these things??I want proofs!Who the hell tested these things??

I want proofs!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
